The Bigger Picture Training Company was Established in 2021 by Dr Emma Lynch, an educational psychologist, and Dr Edward Crook, a doctor and professional actor.
The Bigger Picture Training Company has one clear mission: to promote positive futures for all children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Meet the team
Dr Emma Lynch BSc, PGCE, MA, DAEP
Co-founder, Director, Educational Psychologist, HCPC Registered
Emma has been working on the frontline of Education since 2011, gaining experience across diverse educational settings in the East Midlands.
Emma has been an ‘Outstanding’ teacher in secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, and Nottinghamshire, working with a dual specialism of Science (Key Stage 3-5) and Psychology (Key Stage 5).
In her second year as a qualified teacher, Emma took on a curriculum coordinator role, before moving on to a college leadership position in 2014.
In 2016, Emma was offered a place on the University of Nottingham’s Doctorate in Applied Educational Psychology (DAEP) course, where her interest and enthusiasm for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) flourished.
Emma qualified in 2019 and has been working full time as a Local Authority educational psychologist alongside associate work for a Lincolnshire-based independent educational psychology service.
Emma is enthusiastic about developing and delivering bespoke training. At the end of every training session, Emma aims to leave trainees feeling confident and empowered to apply their new learning to daily life.
Through high quality and engaging training, Emma is committed to promoting positive futures for all children, young people, and their families.
Dr Edward Crook FdA, BMedSci, BMBS
Co-founder, Director, Doctor, Actor
Edward is a creative and ambitious individual who seeks variety and excitement in both his professional and personal life.
Since graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2013, Edward has worked as a doctor in both the UK and Fiji. Most recently, including during the COVID-19 pandemic, Edward has been working on the frontline of the NHS on A&E and Medical wards.
As well as working full time as a doctor, Edward works professionally as an actor, having trained at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Edward has worked on a variety of projects, including work with HBO, Apple TV+, SKY, the BFI, Amazon, and the BBC.
Edward has a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Along with his breadth of experience as a doctor and actor, Edward sees the importance of understanding and supporting additional needs on a daily basis. Edward is driven to share his own experiences and challenges, whilst encouraging others to take a step back to see the bigger picture when it comes to having, or knowing someone with, SEND.
Edward is dedicated to bringing together families and professionals through high quality training. Edward firmly believes that The Bigger Picture Training Company will successfully bridge the gap between health and education.

Our training for professionals will be “CPD accredited” by March 2022; this means our professional training packages will be checked and quality assured by an independent company to guarantee our training is of the highest quality.
